Bryce has over 19 years of experience in the funeral and monumental industry and is a competent funeral director and embalmer.
Having worked for the previous owners for six and a half years, Bryce had the opportunity to purchase the business in 2004 and continues to be actively involved in all aspects of the business.
Bryce comes from a 20 year professional banking background, has an eye for detail and always looks for opportunities to put his artistic skills to good use.
As a qualified monumental mason Bryce is able to carry out all aspects of memorial and headstone work - whether it is a refurbishment of an existing memorial or making a choice for a new one - Bryce will ensure a most professional job is done.
Away from work Bryce enjoys family time with his wife Carla; daughters Melanie and Stephanie; and son, Cameron. Bryce attends church at Lakeside Christian Life Centre in Huntly, is a member of the Huntly Lions Club and served for many years as a member of the Huntly Community Board. Interests include collecting diecast model cars and trucks; boasting a pretty extensive model hearse collection of over 140 detailed models of varying scales, from the minute HO scale through to the impressive 1/18th scale
If the weather forecast is fine and work allows it, you may even find him out enjoying a ride on his 2018 Yamaha MT10 touring sports bike.
Waihine was born in Hamilton, Wai spent her schooling years in Maramarua and then later in Huntly.
She proudly worked for Brian Tinney Motors in Huntly for 3 years and then went on to work in customer service in Hamilton and then for a time in Melbourne, gaining her qualifications along the way.
On returning to Huntly she was offered the opportunity to work for Bryce at Haven, which she has done for the past three years and is a Funeral Director, Embalmer and assists with memorials.
Her caring nature and customer service skills are at the forefront of her mind with everyone she meets.
Waihine is committed to church and in her spare time loves trekking, studying theology, community work involvement, music, family, playing billiards and eating cake.

Jo is a Funeral Director, Embalmer and lends her hand to completing Memorial work as well. She brings a variety of skills and a positive attitude to life to her position here at Haven.
Jo was raised in the Waiarapa on the outskirts of Masterton where she completed most of her schooling, after which time she relocated north to the Waikato in 2006 where she continued dairy farming for a time, followed later by working as a technician in a horticultural laboratory.
Jo has two school aged children and an assortment of animals to look after and when not working, Jo enjoys hiking, roller skating, dancing and spending time with her children.
Carla has been quietly in the background of the business since purchasing it 14 years ago. The opportunity arose for her participate more actively and has returned to assist with the reception and front office work, and even lends a hand with catering when required.
When not at Haven, she is actively involved with school activities or enjoying gardening when the weather permits.
Jane joined the team at Haven in February 2015 and has a strong financial and customer service background. She specialises in the financial side - which includes coding accounts, debt collection and payroll. This is in conjunction with all office duties as required here on a daily basis.
Jane was born and bred in the Huntly area, is married to Albie and has three teenage children. They own their own dairy farm in the Orini/Te Hoe area.
